The Dream Master (2)
Mixing bad dreams (Age 11- 13+)
Fingers tinker over glowing jars, Nails screech down the glass; Imprisoned dreams quiver and shake, Waiting for the master to pass.
Down the long isles he inquisitively glides, Inspecting every dream in his keep Coming to a halt for a closer look, Checking for any dreams asleep.
He taps the lids with his nails Ensuring that they sit nice and tight, Or, to wake a tired and hazy dream So it glows and gives off more light.
Sometimes he finds a dream has died, And makes a most terrible scream A deathly noise that will chill your bones; Waking every sleeping dream.
On the hour throughout the day; Each jar comes under his gaze, The dreams glow intensely, Then settle down to a haze.
If he's feeling good and especially mean He will mix together several dreams; Shaking vigorously to stir up the lights, Creating nightmares with added screams.
If all works well he prepares a large batch, Ready for delivery that night; Stuffing them hard into his silver flask Plugging and sealing down tight.
At dark o'clock the dream master stirs; He shoulders his black flowing cloak, It falls far below his worn black boots, As he rises into the air and floats.
Through the long hall he gracefully flies, Around the high shelves he sores, Then, out into the dark cold night; To switch his bad dreams with yours.
