Hi everyone,
Ive held back until now to post news of my work for personal reasons, but I feel the time is right and I would like
to say thank you to all the members and friends who have given help over the last two years .
You have given me both your time and advice freely to further my passion, helped me through recovery from illness,
corrected my spelling, taught me punctuation and many more new skills that have helped and will continue
to help me for the rest of my life.

During my short time here you have credited me with two competition awards.  Forgotten Days and The Old Fox.
During 2007 I began writing "The Oak Tree Man" along with other children's stories in poetry and sent it in one of them for consideration and publishing.
All three pieces of work from the "Oak Tree Man" series: Irchy Wood, Home and A visitor were published across a six month period in a local magazine 2008.

Without your assistance and patience none of the above would have been possible. For that I thank you applause  applause  applause and will be eternally gratefull for your help.

My best regards

Paul, mate, buddy,

Congratulations!!! That's sensational news. Very happy to hear about your success and the fact that you not only got poetry published but a series of poems.   smiley dance  woohoo  smiley dance

It's been a lot of fun to watch your writing improve in leaps and bounds (even if your sense of humour hasn't *grin*) since the first day you joined the Creative Corner. Bit like a diamond in the rough, a few very minor polishes and it has come shining through, especially with all the yards and work you put into it.

Keep up the great work and make sure you let us know any other awards and successes you have a long the way so we can celebrate them with you!  Positive Karma Positive Karma Positive Karma Karma for you for the good news and job well done!

Cheers,
Ben.

Thank you Ben, thats very kind of you.

At the end of the day it was down to the encouragement and help I received
here that fueled the fire of inspiration. Cheers!
As to the improvement of humour, watch! Grin, grin, grin.  applause

Paul  koala

I'm so thrilled I'm ready to explode!  woohoo  Dance & Sing  woohoo kangaroo woohoo

You deserve it, absolutely, and I applause you for having the courage to send your work out in the first place. As Ben said, it's been wonderful to watch your growth as a writer and I think you could have quite a future in this writing game. Your specialty (one of  smiley dance) is the creation of engaging, eccentric and lovable characters that the reader, adult and child alike, want to keep reading about. You're characters are friendly in all the right ways, that you want to come back and read about them again and again. I'm looking forward to new episodes and exploits of both your characters and your writing achievements!

And I'm so glad you reached the ready point to let us know here, because it's an encouragement to us all as well, and you deserve to feel very proud and pleased.  Positive Karma Positive Karma Positive Karma Positive Karma Positive Karma

Keep up the good work, both the writing, the sending out of your work and letting us know about your achievements.  soccer

Good on ya, Mate!  cool

G'day H.  hat wave
Thank you once again Hannah for your encouragement!
It doesn't seem so long ago since I first started here in fear and in trepidation, no joking!
Now, I have quite a few topical characters and new story lines to contend with keeping me busy. The early ones are sitting on the
back burner, not forgotten, just resting a while.
Some publishers do not like work if it has been posted on forums and such. Silly, I think. As getting a view point from across the net will only help
I suppose to send stuff of for consideration and publishing. We'll see!
So, once again it's a big thank to you, Ben  sleepgsnoop, and all the crew out there for everything.
Lets see what 2009 has in store for us?

Cheers Hannah  Dance & Sing
See you later.
