Untitled

 Our smiles are back,
But the sorrow is still buried deep,
Our laughter is loud in my ears,
The sound almost deafening my screams,
I can't ever forget,
But can I forgive?

These bloodied stitches barely hold,
Sewn into my broken heart by your apologies,
You think this fixes everything?
Like the pain you caused has magically healed?

Our past is an on going source of pain,
Your words sliced my wrists,
The blades a gentle elegant kiss,
The blood forever staining my creamy white skin,

So shall this pain,
Save me or will it destroy me,
Will it make or break me,
Is there more suffering to come,
Will you be by my side?
When this love steals my last breath,

Life is a gamble.
it's harsh and painful most of the time, and it's not for the timid.
spoils go to the victor, not for the one that doesn't even show up for the battle.
